The Church of St Peter & St Paul in Nutfield maintains it’s distinctive style of traditional worship based on The Book of Common Prayer. The brief was for a high quality, unobtrusive sound system for speech and music playback that was easy to operate.

Sound Analysts opted for a design with the Yamaha MTX processor based controller at the heart of the installation. The main sound control panel is at the rear of the church with an option for iPad operation. The main Nave loudspeakers selected were the EMS-61’s manufactured by EM Acoustics. At the outset, a faculty requirement was for loudspeakers to be positioned high up at the base of the roof trusses. Small near-field Yamaha speakers provide coverage for the Chancel.

The MTX system with 8 separate outputs feed the main speakers + additional units located in the creche area and the ringing chamber. The system was aligned using Smaart test & measurement software. A pre-programmed default setting ensures the system powers up in a known configuration at the touch of a button.
